Fees free
When you have finished your course, you may be able to get your final year fees paid for you.
Get your final year of fees back
Fees Free helps pay for your study by paying back the fees for either the:
- final year of your course
- final 2 years of your course for work-based learning, such as apprenticeships.
This is only paid after you finish your course. You’ll have to pay your fees first and then apply for Fees Free to get your fees paid back.
If you have a student loan, your Fees Free will be paid to your loan. Even if you did not use your student loan to pay your final year fees — it’ll still be paid to your loan. If you do not have a student loan, it’ll be paid to your bank account.
Check your eligibility
You can only get Fees Free once, so if you have already received Fees Free — you cannot get it again. You must have started your final year on or after 1 January 2025 and you‘ll need to meet the eligibility criteria.
