Gambling Commission

An independent statutory decision-making body established under the Gambling Act .

The Gambling Commission:

  • licenses casino operators and venues
  • approves any changes to casino licences
  • hears appeals against decisions
  • hears complaints about how the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) has handled a complaint
  • advises the Government on setting the problem gambling levy.
