Auckland Policy Office (APO)

The APO:

  • provides an Auckland perspective in the development of central government policy
  • identifies and develops Auckland-specific policies that will promote Auckland and national economic growth
  • promotes the involvement of central government in major regional development projects
  • develops links with key regional stakeholders including Auckland Council and Auckland’s business community
  • is a source of information about Auckland
  • is an Auckland base for Ministers.
