Radio Spectrum Management
They:
- provide advice on radio spectrum matters, including legislation, licensing and licence compliance
- resolve issues of interference
- plan future use of the radio spectrum
- represent New Zealand's position in the international coordination of radio spectrum use
- maintain the Register of Radio Frequencies designed to facilitate spectrum engineering and trading
- run radio spectrum auctions.
They are part of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
