Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) registers and maintains New Zealand birth, death, marriage, civil union and name change information, and issues certificates and printouts.
New BDM fees
Fees for birth, death, marriage and civil union products are changing at midnight 22 May 2017 (NZ Standard Time). The new fees will apply to any applications received after 21 May 2017.

BDM ANZAC Day hours
Births, Deaths and Marriages will be closed on Tuesday 25 April 2017 for ANZAC Day. During this time a call out service is available by appointment — please contact BDM for more information. The office will reopen with full services on Wednesday 26 April 2017.
