They work in the following areas:

  • Arts and culture – support and organise Asia-related events and festivals, and offer artists professional development opportunities in Asia
  • Business – offer seminars, internships and networking opportunities to connect NZ business leaders and graduates
  • Education – provide information, resources and professional development to teachers and principals
  • Entrepreneurship – run the ASEAN Young Business Leaders Initiative (YBLI) on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s behalf
  • Leadership - provide professional development and leadership opportunities to young professionals
  • Research – conduct research to help policymakers make more informed decisions about NZ's engagement with Asia
  • Media – support NZ journalists by providing travel grants, internships and access to Asia-related forums and speakers
  • Track II - lead discussions on strategic, regional and security issues with think tanks, universities and organisations in Asia.
